Lean Turkey Meatloaf with Cheese

Cheesy Lean Turkey Meatloaf Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground turkey, 97% lean
  • 1 cup Italian seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 12 ounces Colby cheese, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
  • ½ cup ketchup

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  2. In a bowl, combine very well the turkey, milk, bread crumbs, and eggs by hand. Add salt and pepper then cheese cubes into the mixture.
  3. Transfer to a loaf pan and form the turkey mixture into a smooth mounded loaf using the back of a spoon.
  4. Brush meatloaf evenly with ketchup.
  5. Bake 1 hour in the preheated oven, to an internal temperature of 180 degrees F (85 degrees C).
  6. Let meatloaf stand 5 minutes before serving.
